The Other Poe Cities

Baltimore is, of course, doing a fine job honoring Edgar Allan Poe.  There are lots of events and the Baltimore Sun has put up a nifty webpage with lots of info and links.  The viewing of Poe's body, all night vigil and funeral are especially fitting.  I wish I could attend, but I'll be busy at the Poe Studies Convention in Philly.  However, as this article suggests, Baltimoreans still seems a bit defensive about the rightful place of Edgar's Legacy (sounds like they're still looking over their shoulder at me and my shovel):

"We have the body!" says Poe fan Doreen Bolger, director of the Baltimore Museum of Art. "Possession is nine-tenths of the law. No one else can say that."

Settle down, Doreen, I'm not coming.  Yet.

Richmond also has a cool webpage and has had lots of events over the entire year (although they seem to have stopped updating the site a while ago).

I'm not really sure what events are happening in New York.  There are no links at the the Poe Cottage site.  Is New York City doing nothing to honor Poe this month?
