How Boston Honors Poe

Boston may have finally started to honor Edgar Allan Poe, with their renaming of a square in his name and the new exhibition set to open in December, "The Raven in the Frog Pond: Edgar Allan Poe and the City of Boston."  The next Great Poe Debate is also set to kick off the exhibition on Dec 17.

However, Boston still has a hard time getting its act together when it comes to the most famous writer ever born in their city.  A switchbox which had been painted in Poe's honor was recently painted over.  Apparently, it was all a mix-up, but c'mon, Beaners, isn't this a good metaphor for how you really feel about Poe.  You just want to cover him up and pretend he was never there.

Isn't that nice.
